Protection of Birds and Wild Rabbit (Amendment)

Regulations, 1998

IN exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6, 32, 33 and 48

of the Environment Protection Act, 1991, tbe Deputy Prime Minister

and Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Environment, with the

concurrence of the Prime Minister, has made the following

regulations: -

These regulations may be cited as the Protection of Birds and

Wild Rabbit (Amendment) Regulations, 1998, and shall be read and

construed as one with the Protection of Birds and Wild Rabbit

Regulations, 1993, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations" .

In paragraph (5) of regulation 17 of the principal regulations

the words "within one year from the publication of these regulations

declare such birds to the Department and shall" there shall be substituted

the words "declare such birds to the Department by the 13th March,

1998 and shall subsequently".
