Sixth Form Students (Rates of Allowance) (Amendment)

Regulations, 1998

IN exercise of the powers conferred by sections 41 and 47 of the

Educatjon Act, the Minister of Educaion and National Culture, with the

concurrence of the Minister of Finance and Commerce, has made the

following regulations:-:-

(1) These regulations may be cited as the Sixth Form

Students (Rates of Allowance) (Amendment) Regulations, 1998 and

shall be read and construed as one with the Sixth Form Students (Rates

of Allowance) Regulations, 1996, hereinafter referred to as "the

principal regulations".

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into

effect on the 1st October, 1997.

For paragraph (a) of regulation 2 of the principal regulations

there shall be substituted the following:-

"(a) Maltese citizens, or students under the age of 19 with

at least one parent being a Maltese citizen;".
