IN exercise of the powers conferred by the Local Loans Act, 1998

and by section a(l)(a) of the Local Loans (Registered Stock and

Securities) Ordinance, Cap. 161, the Minister of Finance and

Commerce has authorised that due to oversubscription in

Lm10000,000 7.2Vo Malta Government Stock 2008 (tr) created by

means of Legal Notice No. lCI of 1998 published on the 19th June,

1998 , an additional Lm20 ,000,000 7 .2Vo MaltaGovernment Stock 2008

@) having the same conditions shall be created thus bringing the total

amount of this Stock to Lm30,000000. In terms of paragraph 5 of the

same Legal Notice the half yearly contribution to the Sinking Fund

shall be raised from Lml00p00 to Lm300000.
