IN exercise of the powers conferred by the Local Loans Act, 1998

and by section a(lXa) of the Local Loans (Registered Stock and

Securities) Ordinance, Cap. 161, the Minister of Finance and

Commerce has authorised that due to oversubscription in

Lm10,000,000 6.8Vo Malta Government Stock 2004 (tr) created by

means of Legal Notice No. 159 of 1998 published on the 19th June,

1998 , an additional Lm 15 ,85 I ,8N 6.8Vo Malta Govemment Stock 2004

QI) having the same conditions shall be created thus bringing the total

amount of this Stock to Lm25,851,800.In terms of paragraph 5 of the

same Legal Notice the half yearly contribution to the Sinking Fund

shall be raised from Lm100,000 to Lm258518.
