AND LOCAL GOODS) ACT

Date of coming into force of the
Personal Protective Equipment Order, 1998
(Order No. M34 of 1998)
The Malta Standardisation Authority hereby notifies that the
Personal Protective Equipment Order, 1998 (Order No. M34 of 1998)
was laid before the House of Representatives in accordance with
subsection (2) of section 5 of the Quality Control (Exports, Imports and
Local Goods) Act, on the 12th May 1998 and that the said Order shall

come into force on the 1st July I 1998, provided that the requirement of
article 6 of the said O~der and the CE marking shall not be obligatory
prior to the 1st January ,1999.
