IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 47 of the

Education Act, the Minister of Education and National

(a) in Part B thereof

-

(tl for paragraph 1.3 thereof there shall be

substituted the following: _

"1.3 The Director of Studies shall have the

qualifications set out hereunder

(a) a permanent/temporary teacher,s

warrant;

(b) a minimum of I O00 hours in teaching

English as a foreign language;

(c) a first degree in English of a recognised

University or a diploma or higher qualifi-cation

of a recognized institution in the ieaching of

English as a foreign language.";

(2). in sub-paragraph (h) of paragraph 1.4 thereof,

. immediately

after

the words "Department of Education,i

there shall be added the words "or the Monitoring Board';

(3) in paragraph 2.2 thereof:-

(i)

for sub-paragraph (c) thereofthere shall be

substituted the following

"(c) have a matriculation standard of

education; "; and

(ii) immediately after sub-paragraph (d) thereof

there shall be added the following

-

"(e) possess an Advanced Level certificate

in English of a recognized institution, or

comparable qualifications."; and

(b) for paragraph 4.5 of Part C thereof there shall be

substituted the following: -

*4.5 the approval of board and lodging facilities and

the ensuring that such facilities at all times comply with

all licensing conditions and applicable regulations, and are

what the student was offered as part of the all-inclusive

package;".
