IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 or tile Consumer

Affairs Act , 1994, the Minisler ofFinance and Commerce, after having

consul ted the Consumer Arfairs Council , has made the fo llowing

regulations:-

1bese Icgulations may be cited as me Display of Price-Lists

in Bars and Kiosks Regulations. 1997.

1. ( I) Every ow~e r or other person responsible (nrlhe running

of any bar or kiosk shall ensure that price-lists o f meals, snacks and

other items of food or drink shalll be prominently displayed, in case of

a bar al the enuanoe , and in the case of a ki osk on the outside of su:h

kiosk in a manner which is easily n()(iceable by the customers.

For Ihe purposes of this regulation

the term "bar" also includes school luck. shops and snack

(i)

bars situated within factory premises;

(ii> the term "kiosk" also includes any movable: sales outlet,

in which case the price-list shall be fixed in a prominent place

thereof,

3 . Any person who acts in contravention of, or fai ls to comply

with, these regulations shall be guilty of an offence and shal l, on

conviction. be liable to a fi ne (mulra) of nOlless than fifty Maltese lUi

but nOl more than two hundred Maltese lUi,
