Police Licences (Amendment) Regulations, lm
m exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Police
Llcences Act, the Prime Minister has made the following regulations: -
I. ( I) These regulations may be cited as the Police Licences Q, .. Ion"""
(Amendment) Regulations. 1997 and shall be read and construed as t;Om _ _ •
onc with the Police Reg ulations. 1949, hereinafter referred to as the O.N. ~of ' ~9.

(2) These regulations shall come into force on the 1st of
February . 1997.

For the purpose of this item. a pleasure
boal means all those craft which. are nOI
intended to be propelled by oars. are provided
with an engine e xceeding 10 h.p .. and. by the
mllure of their built or construction or use. are
conside red a s pleasure boats by the
Commissioner of Police.
Crafts which are re gistered with the
Director of Fisheries for fishing purposc:s will
not be registered as such unless the owner
thereof produces 10 the Directo r of Fisheries a
certificate by a qual ified shipwri ght to Ihe
effect that the said c raft is constructed and
meant for fishing purposes."
