Extraditio n (l>e:iignated I' oreign Cou ntries)

(Amendment) Order, 1997

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Extradition

Act .the Mi nister o f Justice and Local Councils has made the following

order:-

This Order may be cited as th e Extradition (Designated

( I)

Foreign Cou ntri es) (Amendment ) Order, 1997, and shall be read and

COflstrued as one with the Extradition (Designated Foreign Cou ntries)

Order, 1996, here inafter referred to as "the principal Order".

(2) This Order shall be deemed to hllve come in to force on

the 13th February , 1997. hereinafter in this Order referred 10 as "the

relevant dateR .

(I)

Immediately after the item " Honduras" in the Schedule

10 the princi pal Order there shall be added the item ·'Hungary".

(2) With respect to Hungary, "the relevant date" wherever

il occurs in the princi pal Order shall have the same meaning assigned

10 it by article I of this Order.
