(REGISTERED STOCK AND SECURITIES) ORDINANCE

(CAP. 161)

Directive by the Minister of Finance

for the Issue of an additional Lm24,500,OOO

7.8% Malta Governmenl Stock 2012

(FlRST ISSUE)

IN exercise of the powers conferred by the Local Loans ACI, 1997

and by seclion 4(1)(a) of the Local Loans (Registered Stock and

Securities) Ordinance, Cap. 161, lhe MinislerofFinance has authorised

that due to oversubscription in Lm 10 ,000,000 7.8% Malta Govemment

Stock 2012 (I) created by means of Legal NOlice No. 55 of 1997

published on the 2nd May. 1997, an additional Lm24,500.000 7.8%

Malta Government Stock 2012 (I) having the same conditions shall be

created lhus bringing the lotal amount oflhis Stock to Lm34.500,ooo.

In lerms of paragraph 5 of the same Legal NOlice the half yearly

contribution to (he Sinking Fund shall be raised from LmlOO,OOO to

Lm345.000. All applications received by the closing dote 17th May.

1997 will therefore be accepted,
