(FIRST ISSUE)

IN exercise of the powers conferred by the Local Loans Act. 1997

and by section 4(1)(a) of the Local Loans (Registered Srock nnd

Securities) Ordinance. Cap. 161, the MinistcrofFinance has authorised

fhal due to oversubscription in LmIO,OOO,OOO 7.25% Malta

Government Stock 2005 (I) crealed by means of Legal Notice No. 54

of J997 published on the 2nd May, 1997, an additional Lm 13,500,000

7.25% Malta Government 510Ck 2005 (1) having the same conditions

shall be created Ihus bringing the total amount of this Stock 10

Lm23.500,OOO. In terms of paragraph 5 of the same Legal Notice the

hllif yearly contribution to the Sinking Fund shall be raised from

LrnlOO.OOO to Lm235,OOO. All applications received by [he closing

dale 17th May, 1997 will therefore be accepted.
