Directive by the Minister of Finance

for the Issue of an additional Lm20,OOO,OOO

6.75% Malla Government Stock 2000

(FIITH ISSUE)

IN exercise of the powers conferred by the Local Loans Act. 1997

and by section 4(IXa) of the Local Loans (Registered Stock and

Securities) Ordinance. Cap. 161 .the MinislcrofFinance has authorised

that due to oversubscription in Lm 10.000.000 6.75% Malta

Government Stock 2000 (V) created by means of Legal Notice No.

53 of 1997 published On the 2nd May, 1997, an additional

Lm20.000.000 6.75% Malta Government Stock 2000 (V) having the

same conditions shall be created thus bringing the total amount orlhis

Stock LO Lm30.000.000. In terms of paragraph 5 of the same Legal

Notice the hal f yearly contribution to the Sinking Fund shall be raised

rrom LmlOO.OOO to Lm300.ooo. All applications received by the

closing date 17th May, 1997 will thererore be accepted.
