EDUCATION ACT

(CAP. 327)

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) • B.Eng. (Hons.) . Degree

(Amendment) Regulations, 1997

IN el>ereise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 30(5)

and 31(6) of the Education Act (Cap. 327), the Chancellor of the

University of Malta has promulgated the following regulations made

by the Senate of the University of Malta by virtue of the powers conferred

upon it by sections 31 and 35 of the said Act

Citation

These regu lations may be cited as the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)-

I,

B,Eng . (Hons.) - Degree (Amendment) Regulations, 1997 and shall be read and

construed as one with the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)· BE ng. (Hons.) - Degree

Regulations. 1993. hereinafter referred to as "the prinCipal regulations".

Applicability

These regUlations shall be applicable to courses starting in October 1991 or

Amend ment of Regulation 4 of the principal regulations

Reg. 3 — 28 tal-1997 – Regolamenti tal-1997 biex jemendaw ir-Regolamenti tal-1993 għall-Kors għall-Grad ta' Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - B.Eng. (Hons.) Open official source

For paragraph (6) of regulation 4 of the principal regulations there shall be

substituted the following

"'(6) A candidate who in the Fourth Year of the Course fails in not more

than two modules shall be required to undertake a "viva voce" examination. If

successful. the candidate shall be awarded the min imum pass mark in the respective

module or modules. [fthe candidate fails in the "viva voce" examination he shall

be required to repeat th e year."
