Gow Mail and Passenger Servia' (Fare» (Amt:ndment)

Regulations, 1.997

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 27 of the Public

Transport Authority Act, the PIlblic Transport Authority. with theconsent

of the Minister for Transport and Ports and with the concurrence of the

Minister for Economic Affairs and Finance, has made the (ollowing

1. Passenger Standard Fare

This fare applies for all passengers travelling on Company

femes .

2. Gozo Resident P asse nger Subsidized Fare

This fare is only applicable to Goritan permanent resi<icnts.

Senior Citizen Subsidized Fa re

This fare is applicable to all citizens holders of the Kana

AMJa n.

Child ren's ,"'are

This fare is applicable to all children from the age of 3 up

[0 12 year.>.

Car and Driver Standard Fare

This fare is applicable [0 all commuters without distinction.

Car a nd Gozitan Resident Driver-S tandard Fare

This far is only applicable to Gozilan permanent residents.

Frequent Passe nger Car and Drh'cr f are ror Go:w

Resid ent or Holder or Karta Anzja n

This is a special fare for car and dri ver which is only

applic able to Gozitan permanent res idents ()r holders of

Karta Anzjan who commute frequently duri ng any tcn

days. This ticket shall be valid for ten days only and the

holder shall be entitled to travel five times with this ticket.

The identity document required for this ticket is a valid

Identity Card or Passpon whose number shalt be printed

on each ponion of the tic ket. The registration number of

the vehicle shall be also printed on each ponion of the

ticket and only the vehicle so registered shall travel with

Ihis ticket. These tickets shall only be valid if shown with

the sll pponing identity document which was presented at

the time of purchase: and whose number is stamped thereon.

These tickets are not transferable and must be used du ring

the ten day validity period.

Ca r lind Dr h 'er .' requenl Passenger Fare

This is a special fare for all passengers without disti nction

of residence who commute frequently by car during any

ten day period. This ticket shall be valid for ten days olll y

and the holder shall be entitled to trave l five times with

this ticket. The criteria for pu rchase of this ti cket is the

same as for the Frequent Passe nger Car and Driver Fare

for GolO Resident or Holder of Kana Anzjan.

9. Towed Trailer up to S metres shall pay LmS.OO. When length exceeds S metres

payment shall be based on length overall of vehicle and towed trailer in accordance

with the above tariffs.

A surcharge of Lml.OO per linear metre will be applied on overhanging cargo

A surcharge of Lml.20 per linear metre will be applied on overhanging cargo

carried on vehicles boarding from Sa Maison 10 Gozo or vice-versa.

These fares do not include fares applicable for passengers and drivers detailed

under the First Schedule to these regulations.".
