Labelling and I'rl'st'nta tio n o r Foodsturrs (Amendment)

Regulations . 1997

IN uercise of the powers con ferred by section 12 of the Food,

Drugs and Drinking Water Act , the Minister of Health, Care of lhe

Eld e rl y and Fam il y Affai rs, on the adv ice o f t he Malta

Standardisatio n Authori ty. has made the following regu lations:-

J , These regulatio ns may be cited as the Labelling and

Presentation of Foodstuffs (Amendment) Regulations. 1997 and shall

be read and construed as one with the Labelling and Presentation of

Foodstuffs Regulations, 1992. herei nafter referred to as "the principal

regu lations".

2, [n paragraph 10. 1 of the principal regulations. for the words

"in one of the official languages of Malta :' there shall be substituted

the words "in Maltese, or in English, or in Ita lian:' .
