Local Councils (Hnancial) (Amendment) Regulatiolls, 1997

IN e"e rcise of the powers conferred by sections 67 and 72 of

the Local Counci ls Act. 1993, the M.ini ster of Justice and Local

Council s. in conj uncti o n wit h the Min iste r of Fin ance and

Comme rce, has made the fo llowing regulatiolls: -

These regulations may be cited as the Local Counc ils

Reg. 1 — 166 tal-1997 – Regolamenti tal-1997 li jemendaw ir-Regolamenti tal-1993 dwar Kunsilli Lokali (Finanzi) Open official source

(Financial) (Amendment) Regul ations. 1997. and shall be read and

construed as one with the Local Council s (Financial ) Regulations,

1993, hereinafter referred to as the "the principal regulations".

In subpa ragraph (b) of paragrap h (2) of regulation 5 of the

principal regulations for the words ~ I nq ui r ies Act." there shall be

substituted the words. "I nqu iries Act:" and immediatel y the reafter

there shal l be added the followi ng new subparagraph :-

"(c) the Minister may also order that an investigation be

carried out by an y means as he deems ii i ."'
