IN exercise o fl he powers conferred by the Local and other Loans

Act. 1997 and by section 4(I Xa) of tile Local Loons (Registered Stock

and Securities) Ordinance. Cap. 161. the Minister of Finance and

Commerce has authorised that due 10 o\·ersubscription in Lm7.500.ooo

7.35% Malia Government Siock 2007 <I) created by means of Legal

Notice No. 146 of 1997 published on the 26th September. 1997 . an

add itional Lm 17 ,250.000 7.35% Malta Government Stock 2007 (I)

having lhe same conditions shall be created thus bringing the lotal

amount of this Stock to Lm24,750j))(). In terms of paragraph 5 of the

same Legal Notice lhe half yC3rly contribution to the Sinking Fund

shall be raised from Lm75SlOO 10 Lm247.500. All applications received

by the closing date 18th October. 1997 will lhtre fore be accepted.
