Customs IlInd Excise Tax (Amendment of'ThIrd Sc:hedu~) (No.2)

IN exercise of the powers conferred by sec:tion 7!5 of the Customs

and Excise Tax Act, 1997. hereinafter in these regulations referred to as

''the: Ac!"', the MinisterofFinanc:e and Commerce: has made the following

regulations:·

Tax (Amendment of Third Schedule) (No. 2) Reguhuions. 1997. which

Third Schedule is hcreinarter being referred 10 in these regulations as

',he Schedule",

(2) These: regulations shall be deemed to have come into

force co the 1st July. 1997.

Paragraph (e) of item 9 orlhc Schedule shall be rc-Iettered as

paragraph (f) thereof. and immediately before paragraph (0 as

renumbered there shall be added the following new paragraph (e):-

"(e) transport providro for the carriage of goods bel~n

factory and pon or airpon in such cases or in respect of such goods

or classes of goods as the Director may deem appropriate and to

Immediately after paragraph (2) of item II of the Schedule

there shall be added the rollowing new paragroph

'"(3)

Financial leasing by a commc:rcial bank or equipment

plant and machinery used in the production of goods ()C" in the

provision of servic:es.".
