Hum . St. - Degree '(Amendment) Regulations, 1997

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 30(5)

and 31 (6) of th e Education Act (Cap. 327) . the Chancellor of the

University u f Mal ta has promulgated the following regulations made

by the Senate of the University of Malta by vinueofthc powers conferred

upon it by sections 31 and 35 of the said Act

Citation

These regUlations may becitcd as the Bachelorof Ans in Legal and Humanistic

Studies - BA. Leg . & Hu m. 51. - Degree (Ame ndment) Regulations, 1997 and

shall be read and construed as one with the Bachelor of Ans in Legal and Humanistic

Studies - B .A. Leg. & Hum. St. - Degree Regulations, 1995, hereinafter refened to

as "the principal regulations",

Applicability

These regulations shall be applicable to courses starting in October 1995 or

later.

Amendment or rqulatlon 4 or the princi pal r egulations

For sub-paragmphs (b) and (c)of paragmph (I) of Regulation 4 of the principal

regulations there shall be substituted the following

"(b) for Courses staning in 1995 or later. be in possession of a pass at

Matriculation Advanced level at Grade C or better in English. Provided that

candidates who wish to follow the study-units indicated for the aw ard of the

Diploma oftegal Procumtor(L.P.) as well as those candidates who wish to proceed

to the course leading to the Di ploma of Notary Pu blic (RP.) and the Degree of

Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) are also required to be in possession of the Matriculation

Cenificate at Advanced level in Maltese at Grade C or better;

all candidates shall also be req uired to offer Secondary Ed ucation
