Regulations, 1997

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 30(5)

and 3 1(6) of the Education Act (Cap. 327). the Chancellor of the

University of Malia has promulgated the following regulations made

by the Senate of the University of Malta by virtue of the powers conferred

upon it by sections 31 and 35 of the said Act

Citation

I. These regulations may be cited as the Diploma in Pastoral Theology - Dipl .

Past. Th. - (Amendment) Regulations, 1997 and shall be read and construed as one

with the Diploma in Pastoral Theology - Dipl. Past. Th . - Regulations, 1988.

hereinafler referred to as "the principal regulations",

Anlcndment of regulation 2 of the principal regulations

Regulation 2 of the pr incipal regulations shall be amended as follows

For paragraph 2.\ there shall be substi tuted the following

(a)

"2.1 The Course of Studies leading to the Di ploma in Pastoral

Theo logy (Dip!. Past. Th.) shall extend over a period of at lcasttwo and not

more than fou r semesters. On the recommendation of the Faculty Board.

Senate may allow a candidate to complete the Course in a longer period

under such conditions as the Faculty Board may deem necessary."

(b)

Immediately after paragrJph 2.4 there shall be added the fo llowing

"2.5 The Faculty Board may e:u:mpt a candidate from a maximum of

one fifth of the number of credits required for the confennent o f the Diploma

in Pastoral Theology, provided that the candidate ~sents sufficient academic

testimonials attesting thai the credits from which exemption is required have

been subsrantially covered:'

Applicability

Im mediately after paragraph 4 .2 of regul at ion 4 of the prin cipal regUlations

there sha ll be added the following regulation

"5 . The amendments introduced by these regulations shall apply to courses

staned in or after 19'X>:'
