(Am endment) Regulations, 1996

IN exercise of the powers con ferred by sections 86 and 113 orlhe

CO-Qperative Societies Act, the Minister of Education and Human

Resources, has made the following regu lations: -

I . These regu lations may be cited as the Co-operative Societies

(Central Co-operative Fund) (Amendment) Regulations, 1996,and shall

be read Ilnd construed ll$ one with the Co-operative Societies (Ce ntral

Co-operative Fund) Regulations . [993, hereinafter referred to as "the

principal regulations".

In paragraph (1) of regulation 3 of the principal regulations

For regulation 5 of the principal regulations there shall be

substituted the following:-

In the exec ution of its functions. the Central Co-

operative Fund Committee shall proceed in terms o f the

general policy established by the Co-operatives Board from

time lotime .~ .

4. In paragraph (I) of regulation 10 of the principal regulations

for the words "up to the 31st December" there shall be substituted the

words "up to the 30th lune'·.

s. In subparagraph (a) of paragraph (2) of regu lation II of the

p.·incipal regUlations, for the words "and to examine and. if dee med fit,

to approve" there shall be substituted the words "and . if deemed fit. to

make recommendations to the Co-<>peratives Board 10 approve".
