IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (2) of scrlioll

72 and by section 74 of the Local Counci ls Act , 1993, the Prime

Minister has made the following regulations:-

I. ( I) These regula tions may be ci ted as the Local Councils

Act (Amendrnenl of First Schedule) Regu lations. 1996.

(2) Any reference 10 "the Act" in these regu lations shall

be construed as a reference to the Local Councils Act. 1993.
