Extradition (DesIgnated Foreign Countries) (Amendment)

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Extradition

Act, the Ministerof Justice and the Am has made the followingon:ier:-

( 1) This Order may be cited as the Extradition (Designated

Foreign Countries) (Amendment) Order, 1996 and shall be read and

construed as one with the Exll'adition (Designated Foreign Countries)

o.du , 1996 hereinafter ~fCITed to as ""the principal order"'.

(2) This Order shall come into force on the 20th October,

1996, hereinafter in this Order referred to as ''the relevant date".

(I) Immediately after the country "l....esotho" in the Schedule

to the principal order there shall be added the country "Liby.".

(2) With respect to Libya, "the relevant date" wherever it

occurs in the principal order shall have the same meaning assigned to it

by anicle I of this Order .
