Regulations, 1996

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Te1emalla

Corporation Act, the Board, with the approval of the Minister for

Transport, Communications and Technology and with the concurrence

of the Minister of Finance, has made the following regulations:-

Regulations, 1957, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations". oIlcm .

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into

force on the 1st August. 1996.

Automatic (ISD) calls

Standard rates shall be applicable in respect of calls effected

towards an Ocean Region indicated hereunder from Mondays to

Fridays between 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.

Off Peak rates shall be applicable in respect of calls effected

towards an Ocean Region indicated hereunder from Mondays to

Fridays between 6.00 p.m. and midnight, and on Saturdays and

Sundays between 8.00 a.m. and midnight.

Night rates shall be applicable in respect of caUs effected

towards an Ocean Region indicated hereunder on all days between

midnight and 8.00 a.m.

For the purposes of the Value Added Tax Act, 1994 , the

charges specified in these regulations shall be deemed to be inclusive

of value added tax payable under the said Act.
