Regulations, 1996

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Telemalta

Corporation Act. the Board. with the approval of the Minister for

Transport. Communications and Technology and with the concurrence

of the Minister of Finance, has made the following regulations: -

(I) These reg ulations may be cited as the Overseas

Telephone Service (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulatio ns. 1996, and shall

be read and construed as one with the Overseas Telephone Service

Regulations, 1957, hereinafter referred to as '"the principal regulations" .

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into

force on the 1st June . 1996.

For the Fourth Schedule to the principal regUlations, there shall

be substituted the following

·'FOURTH SCHEDULE

Tariff of Charges for Automatic (lSD)

Overseas Telephone Calls

Standard rates shall be applicable in respect of calls effected

towards a Country indicated hereunder from Mondays to Fridays

between 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.

OfT Peak rates shall be applicable in respect of cal ls effected

towards a Country indicated hereu nder from Mondays to Fridays

between 6 .00 p.m. and midnigh t. and on Saturdays and Sundays

between 8.00 a.m. and midnight.

Night rates shall be applicable in respect of calls effected

towards a Country indicated hereunder on all days between

midnight and 8.00 a.m .

The follow ing rates shall be applied pro rata for each

completed second
