Specified Moto r~rs Commencement Notice

IN exercise of the powers given by paragraph (2) of regulation I

of the Motor Vehicles (Wearing of Scat Belts) Regulations. 1995. the

Commissioner of Poiice with the advice of the Traffic Cotnro1 Board,

and the ehaimllln of the Public Transport Authority, with the consent

of the Minister for Transport. Communications and Technology. have

established the 1st October. 1996 as the date when all the provisions

of the Motor Vehicles (Wearing of Scat Belts) Regulations. 1995,

published by Legal Notice 129 of 1995. shall come into force and

apply also in respect of all motor vehicles. of whichever year of

production . which were provided with a seat belt mechanism at

manufacture. and which motor vehicles are for the purposes of

regulation 3 of those regulations being denOted as specified motor-
