Fees (11111 Far Groupage Bonds Openllors) Regulations, 1995

IN exercise of the powers conferred by sections 27 and 80 of the

C ustoms Ordinance and section 2 ofthc Fees Ordinance. the Mi niste r

of Finance has made the following regulations:-

I. These reguJallons may be cited as the Fees (Ua! Fat Groupage

Bonds Operators) Regulations, 1995, and shall be deemed 10 ha ve

come intoeffecl on the 29th August, 1994.

( I) There shall be charged by the ComptrolJerofCusloms,

for the issue of a permit to operate a groupage bond at the Hal Far

Groupage BondsCompJex. a fee offour thousand Malla liri (Lm4,OOO)

per annum for a warehouse with a Door area measuring 465 square

metres.

(2)

The fee payable under these regulations shall be

reviewable every five years from the 29th August, 1994 and shall be

determined according to the ralc of inflation in the retail price index.

or in any similar index replacing it. published yearly in the Government

Gazette.

(3) Where a warehouse as described in paragraph (2) of

this regulotion is allocated \0 more than one grou page bond operator,

such fee shall be apportioned pro rola in tenus of the floor area allocated

10 each operal('r. provided Ihatlhe local sum paid by the: respective

operators shall be equal to that specified in paragraph ( I) of this

regulation.

(4) The payment of any fee under these regulations shall

be subject to any other conditions governi ng the appointment of a

bonded warehouse for groupage cargo at the: Hal FarGroupage Bonds

Complex in terms of section 27 of the Customs Ordinance.
