Public Transport

(Scheduled, Tourist, Minibus and Unscheduled Transport

Services) (Amendment) Regulations, 1995

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 17 of the Traffic

Regulation Ord inance and by section 27 of the Public Transpon

Authority Act, the Chairman of the Public Trarupon Authority. wi th

the consent o f the Minister for Transport, Commun ications and

Technology, has made lhe following regulatio ns:-

J. ( I) These regu lations may be cited as the Public Transport

(Scheduled, Tourist, Minibus and Unscheduled Transport Services)

(Amendment) Regulations, 1995 and shall be read and construed as

o nc with the Public Transport (Scheduled, Tourist, Mini bus and

Unsc heduled Transport Se rvi ces) Regulations. 199 1, hereinafter

referred to as "the principal regulations",

(2) 1bese regulations shall be deemed to have come into

forecon the 29th November, [994.

Paragraph (6) of regu lat ion 9 of the principal regulations shall

be renumbered as paragraph (7) thereof. and immediatel y after

paragraph (5) there shall be inserted the following new paragraph (6)

as follows

"(6) No licensee of any mot or o mni bus whi c h was

imponed into Malta on or after the 29th Novembe r. 1994, and

licensed to be used on any unscheduled transport service, as a

new licence in addit ion to th e number of licences existing before

said date. shall penni t such motor omnibus to operate any transport

of school children:'.
