IN eIcrcise of the powers conferred by section 59 of the Land

Registra tion Aa , the Minister of Juslioe has made the following

rolcs:-

I. (I) ibese rules may be cited as the Land Registration at" ........

(Submission of Plans) Rules , 1994.

(2) These rules shall come into force on the 2nd May. 1994.

( I) EadI application presented at the Land Registry shall be ~

aeoompanicd with the two plans hereinafter specified.

(2) Onc plan shall be on tile minimum 1:2,SOOsca lc showi ng

the CllICI sile and nOI a mere indication the reof. This plan must include

the following infonn8Iion:-

<a) the North Indicator: and

(b) the distance fmm nearest comC T or otiler fixed point,

such as a church or a tower.

Such plan, 10 be submitted on siu A4 paper. must be

reproduced from Ihe latest survey sheets of 1987 and the Schemes have

to be indicated whe re this appl ies.

(3) A second detailed plan shall also be submitted showing

the nature and extent of applicant's rights. Details the reof are to be

exact and not mere indications, wi th no need for showing internal

divisions (rooms etc.), and a block plan shallsulfoee. Such plan shall

con tain thc following information:-

(a) the scak: that is being used (the plan shall contain both.

vertical and a horizontal scale bar);

(bl the measurement of the fllCllde and the depth, as well.

that of any irregular wall there might be;

(cl the total area , where applicable; and

(d) an indication of the property', Ooor level.

Such plan shall be on si« A4 or AJ paper, and the following

colours shall be used:-

Red - th is indicates that applicant is the owner.

(i)

YeUow-oommon parts.

(ii)

(iii) Green -parts subject 10 servitudes and other third

party rights, such as right of pauage.

(iv) Bmwn - when the servitude can be specified, wc:h

as I panicularly placed right of passage.

(v)

Blue - other rights nol specified above

(4) The plans referred 10 in paragraphs (2) and (3) of this rule
