IN e xercise of the powers confe rred by subsection (1) of section 94

of the Income Tax Act, the Ministe r o f Finance has made the following

rulC$:-

I. (I) These rules may be cited as the Income Tax (Form of

Returns) (Ame ndment) R ules, 1994, and shall be re ad and construed as

one with the Income Tax (Form of RelUms) Rules, 1949, hereinafte r

referred 10 as ~th e princi pal rules".

(2) These rules shall oomc into force upon their publication

in th e G aze tte in respect of the year of assessment comm encing on the

1st January. 1994 and of subsequent years o f assessment.
