POLICE LICENCES ACT (CAP. US)

[N clcrcise of the Powers confe rred by scc.:tion 3 of the Police

Licences Act, the Minister for Home Affairs and Social Development,

with the conCUfTe nce of the Minister of Finance, has made the following

regu]ations:-

I. (1) These regulations may be cited as the Police Uceoces

w . (Amendment) Regulations, 1994 aDd shall be read and construed asone

with the Police Regulations, 1949, bereinafter rdel'Ted to as ~the

principal regulations".

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come iOlo

force on the 1st January, 1994.

Part I of the First Schedule to the principal regulations shall be

amended as follows

(a) the proviso to item 62 the reof shall be deleted; and

(b) item n thereofshalJ be deleted.

Notwithstanding the provisions of regulation 2 of these

regula tions -

(a) the provisions of the principal regulat ions shall continue

10 apply fully to any fee which in lenns of the proviso to item 62 or

of item 72 of Pan 1 of the First Sched ule to the &aid regulations was

due before the 1st January , 1994 and not paid by the &aid date; and

(b) any fee paid in terms of item 72 of Part I of the First

Schedule to the principal regulations before the 1st January, 1994

shall not be refunded notwithstanding that the transfer to which it

related is subsequen tly revoked or is not executed oris executed on

or after the said date.
