Loans (Registered Sloek and Secoritics) Ordinance, Cap. 161, the
Ministe r of Finance has declared LmI0.000,OOO oot of the
Lm4Q,lOl,OOO 6% Local DevelopmcnI Registered Stoek t994 (11)
which is due for repayment between 151 January, 1994 and 31st
December , 1994 10 be conveniblc inlO regislered stoek to he i5llued
under the provisions of lhe OrdinanCC'.
'The Minister has a1so authorised in terms of s.ection 31 (b) and 32 of
the s.ame Ordinance that. for the convt:rsion of Lm IO.(XK),lXXl out of the

6.S% Malla Government (Conversion) Slock 2001 (11) be crealed and
i5llued as follows
I. The Stock shall be issued at the priCC' of LmlOO per cent and
shall be allotted by application in mu ltiples of LmI OO . Applications for
the al10ttment of Stock shall open on Monday . 31st October . 1994 at
8.30 a.m. and shall dose at 12.00 noon on Satu rday , 19th November.
1994 Or earlier al the discretion of Ihe Acwuntam General .
2, All persons andlor entities, excluding Banki ng Institutions. are
eligible 10 apply for Ihis Slock. A110ttmenl shan be made as per criteria
published in the prospectus.
An application for the Stock to be put on the official list and
tradingon th e Malt a Stoek Exchange will be made in lerms of the Mal la
Stock Exchange Act, when the Sloek has been fully subscribed.

Malta shall be made as a contribution to the Sinking Fund established
fo r the purpose of redeemi ng the Stock. The fi n t contribution shall be
made duringtbe firsl six months of the yea r 1995.

Interest 5hall be payable in arrear half·yearly on the 19th of
May and the 19th of No~ember of e~ery year during the curre ncy of the
Stock. The fint payment of I.. m3.25 per I..mlOO stock covering the
period from the 20th No~cmber . 1994 10 the 19th May . 1995. shall be
made on the 19th day of May , 1995.
The Stock sha ll be redeemed 81 parOl"! 19th No~embe r . 2001.
