616 of the Criminal Code , Ihe Minister of Justice, w ith theconcurrcna
of Ihe Minister ofFinancc. has made the following regulations:-

In these regulations
"j uror " means a person whQ is $Worn in as a juror in acrord·
ance with the provisions of the C riminal Code and includes a
fOfeman of juron, a supplementary juror and aspe<.:ial juror sworn
as aforesaid ;
"n:giSlrar" means the Regislrar oflhe Superior Courts;
"day of service" means a day during wllich a juror has given his
services and includes a Saturday, Sunday or other pubDc holiday
when the jwnrs are not allowed 10 return borne as pro'oided in
subsection (2 ) oI.section 471 of the Criminal Code.

Subject to the provisi0n5 of regulatioo 5. the registrar shall , as
soon as may be alter every trial by jury . pay to a juror a foe oHm3 for

S. No fee as provided under regulations) and 4 shall be paid to a
juror for the first threoe days of service in any month in which he 5I:n'ed as
a juror
Provided that where a trial by jury which commen.ccs in ooe
month continues in the followinS month or months. a juror shall not be
entitled to the payment of a fee, as provided in thi!; regulation. onJ~ in
respect of the first three days of :;ClVioc in the first month .
(i. The Payment of Fees to Jurors Regulations. 1989 are hcrrily
revoked .
