IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 o f the Win:less

Te legraph y Ordinance, the Prime Minister has made the following

regul ations:-

(I) These regulations may be tiled as the WirclclII

Te legraphy (BrOf.dcasl Uoence OlllTges) (Amendment) Rcgulatioru ,

1993 and iball be read and construed as one with the Wirelcss

Telegraphy (Broadcast l..kence Olarces) Rcaulation5, 1962,

hen:inafte r referred to as Mthc principal rcgulations H,

(2) These Tegulations snall come into fora: on the hI

January, 1994, in respect of licences which are due to be paid on or after

that da te.

For regulation 2 of the priocipal regulatioru there shall be

sub$tituted the folJowi ng:-

2. ( I) On the issue and o n cac:h renewal of a

br'oadtast receivi ng licence of a type and description specified

in columns 1 and 2 respectively of the Fin! Schedule herelo

the licensee UIall pay a fee of the IlmOI.Inl specified in relation

10 tluittype and description of licence in columns 3 and 4 of

the said Schedule, whatever may be the duration of the

licence.

(2) Ueen.ces shall be issued or renewed for such

period as may be specified by the Minuter responsibk: fo r

wireless telegraphy in eaeh case , provided that where the

period for wltidl. the Iioenee u issued Or renewed as lpecified

by the t-aid Minister u less than one year , the iSllue fee o r the

renewal fee , al the ease may be, shall be reduced in

proponion 10 the number or months , o r pan thereof, as is

included in the period for whkh the licenee is issued o r

renewed. ".

J . The pr-oviJo immediate ly .t the end of re",lation S of the

principaL regulations shall be deleted.

Regu lations 4, S, 6 and 7 of the princiJ'llI reguLations sh.all be
