2.]. The courseof studies leading to the ~gree of Bachelor of E nginee ring and

Ardlitecture (Honours) will be of five years' duration and each academic year will be

dillided into two academic semesters.

2.2. The course will be divided into two parts as follows

4.2. The subjects of Part 2 of the course shall consist of a group ol compulsory

subjects andfor other subjects, forming an elective Stream . "The Faculty shall offcr at

least t'Wo such Streams, onc predominantly in the field of building andlor Ovil

Engineering, and the other in the field of Architecture and/or Urban Studies. "The list of

Streams on offer shall be published , atleasl one year before the start of the: Streams.

4.3 Each student sball choose one Stream, and $hall follow all compulsory

theme related to their Stream.

Notwithstanding the provisions of regulatiom 4.1 to 4. 3 above. the Faculty

Board may in Part I or Pan 2 of the course allow a student to follow a programme of

studies in an approved overseas institution of Highe r Education lor a period of time 001

uceeding one academic IoC mester provided that it is satisfied that the subjects 10 boe

se mester . With reference to compulsory subject$ prescribed for Pan 11 of the course for

which no ow:rseas equi'lllent can boe established by the FkUtty Board, the student

relevant yur of the murse . No candidate shall be allowed 10 repeat more than once

during the whole murse .

7.4. For the purposes of degree dassificatioo, the mark carried over in the case of

any re-assessmenl shall be tbe minimum mark.

7.S. Candid.ates who in Pan 2 of the Course repeat any year. or who have been

required 10 re-submit any dis.scrtation or any Thesis Daign Project work, may only

qualify for I Pass degree, that is, the B.E. &. A. Degree.
