Importation (Control) (A....,ndment)(No. 2) Rq ulatlons, 1992

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section3 of the Supplies and

Setvices Act, the Minister of Finance: has made the following

regulations:-

I. These regulations may be cited as the Imponation (Control)

(Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1992. Bnd shall be read and

construed as one wi th the Imponation (Control) Regulations, 1969,

hereinafter referred to as ·'the principal regulations".

Immediately after regulation 5 of the principal regulations

there shall be added the following new regulation:-

SA. (1) Notwithstanding the provisions of any other

proM';,;.",. regulation , the imponation of any goods into these islands

from any destination . where Ihe impona tion of such goods

from such destin ation is prohibited by a resolutinn of the

Security Council of the United Nations under Chapter VII of

the United Nations Chaner is hereby prohibited and no

licence sh all be issued for such imponation.

(2) For the purposes of paragraph (l) of this

regulation, the Director shall by notice in the Gazette publish

from time to lime a reference 10 any resolution to which the

said paragraph applies.

(3) Notwithstanding the provisions of any other

regulation, the imponation into these islands of any goods

landed for transhipme nt to a destination. where the

expon ation of such goods to such destination is prohibited in

u.N.6fjj! lenns of regulation 3A of the Exportation (Control)

Regulations. 1948, is hereby prohibited.".

J. In Ihe Sched ule 10 Ihe principal regulations for the words

shown against Harmonised System Code No.22 _02 there shall be

substituted the words ··Grape juice, grape nectar; non-alcoholic

beverages containing any milk or milk products; '10ft drink s 1I0t

contained ill glass bottles".
