I . These reguLations may be ciled as the Malta Slock Exchange

Act (AmendmcnlofFirsl Schedule) Regulations, 1992 and shall be read

and ronsm,lcd as one wilh the Statlltecontaine(l in the First Sched ule'to

the Malta Slock Exchange Act. 199() hereina fter referred 10 as "The

Sla!ule~.

For p~ragraph (i) of Article 3 of the StD1Ule, the re sllall be

substituted lhe follo",iog:-

"(i) The memben;hip of lhe Exchange shall comist of

licensed stockbrokers

Provided that a ~""'" or ~rsoM nomin~ted by the Cemral

Bank and approved by tile Ministershall be licensed by lheCouneil

10 act ~s stockbrokers for the purpose of trading SOlely in securitics

issued by the Government subject to the following conditions

eligible for election as a n'ember of tile Council of the

a princip~l for the Central Bank;

in Article 3, subparagruphs (b) and (c) of

paragraph (iii), paragraphs (iv) to (vi), (ix) ,

(xiii) and (xiv) thereof;
