Ordinance. t he Ministe r of Education and Human lteSOlJ rees with the

regulatio ns:-

1. "museu ms and mo numents" means the museums and

monuments contained in the Schedu le to these regu lations;

Kpublic holiday~ shall have the same mean ing as is assigned to

it by Ihe Nation al Uolidays and olhe r Public Holida ys ACI.

l . ( I) The re shall be charged by Ihe Director of Museums a ree

of one Mahcsc lira per per10n of sixtee n years of age or ove r and of

t_nly five o::nlll per person unde r si~leen yearsof age. for admission on

any week da y to anyof the museum and monuments with thecxa:ption

of the Ual Sani eni Hypogeum, Paol a.

(2) There shall be charged by the Director of M useums a fee

of three Maltese a !in per person of sixteen years of age or OVf: ' . and of

(l) No fee shall be charged for admir.sion on a Sunda y loany

lhe Director of Museums may issue free of matte tickets ror i1dmi iiSion

10 anyof the museums and monuments to -

(a) o rganised parties of students allending scllool or othcr

educational institut;OIlI conducted by a responsible person;

(b)

orpnised parties of memben 0( scien lific or aJllu ral

societies.

The Minister responsible (or Muscums and Monuments may

grant f~ of charge ac.;ess to Museums and Monuments for the pu rpose

of Kicntlfic study. research or reslonllion ,

Museums and monumcnl$ Shall be kepi ..tosed on all public

holidays other than SulKlays.

l1!e NationaL Museums and Monuments (Fees) RegulatioM,

1979. are hereby revoked .
