29(6) of the Education Act. 1988. the Chancellor of the Uni~ersily of

(a)
to promote International Tax Planning Courses covering also other
asperu of Offshore related IICrvices;
(b) 10 un lise academic rC!;()UI'CCS and teChnical e~pertise so that together
with in ternational sJ"'Ciali<1:S in the roeld . it will rellCareh Innovative methods to
foster system.ric Study of the various ~lated sub.i«ts and disciplines;
(c ) 10 provide opportunities for the acquisition of marketable skills for
people whose work comrniU1lenlS pre"em them from following oo, ... ent;onal
day-coul'KS; and
(d) to de~elop structured programmes that may lead to the: granling of a
diploma or degree o(lhe University of Malta.
The Ce nlre shall be governed by a Board composed as follows

(2) The Director shall be appointed by the Council of the University of
Malta for a period of tItRe yean followin, a call for applications;
(3) Other academic members shall be appointed by the Council of the
University on the recom mendations of the Board. 'The Board may itself appoint
non-academic staff for- periods not exceeding ~ rur;
Administrative and clerical naff shall be appointed by the Board .

Ce ntre, aooording to the policy established by the Board.. the drawing up of the annual

Amendments tothe Statute may be proposed by the Board for the approval of
the Council of the University.
