IN uercise of the powers conferred by Section 4(1)(b) ofl he Local

Loons (Registered Stock and Securities) Ordinance, Cap. 161 , the

Minister of Fin ance has authorised that the sum of LmSOO,OOO 3%

& arer Debentures 1996 (Third Issue) be created and issued as

folloW5:-

l. The De~nlures shall be issued in mull iples of LmSOO al Ihe

3rd June. 1991 aI9.00 a .m. and shall close al 12.00 noon. Saturday the

15th June. 1991 or earlier at the discfetion of the Accou nta nt General .

The sum of money 10 be ra ised by the Debentures shall be

A half-yearly appropria tio n of not less than Lm5,OOOout of the

general revenue and assets of the Go vernment o f Mal ta shall be made as

a contribution to th e sinking fu nd es tablished for the pu rpose of

redeeming the Debentu res. The fi rst contribu tion shall be made with in

three years from the 16th da~ of Jun e, 1991 .

S. The Debentures shall be redeemed at par on the 15th J une.

1996 as determin ed by the Accountant Ge neral and notifi ed in the

Gazette. Debenture redemption moneys shall only be payable on the

su rrende r of the Debenture issued .
