IN exercise of the powe rs confe"ed by section 14 of Ihe

Expenditu re Levy Act , 1990. the Mini ster of Finance has made the

following regulations:-

I. (I) These: regulations may be cited as the Expenditure Levy

(Travel Services) (Amendment) Regulations, 1991, and shall be read

and construed as one with the Expenditure Levy (Travel Services)

Regul ations. 1990. hereinafter referred to as Mthe principal

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come in to

force on the bt November, 1990.

For regulation 8 of the principal regulations there shall be

substituted the following: -

( I) An Expend ilun: Levy shall be charged to Ihe

purchaser and collected by the selle r at the rate of ten per

centum (10%) on the price paid or payable for the provision

of the sched uled services specified in section A of Item 1 of

the Schedule to the Act.

(2) An Expenditun Levy shaD be charged 10 the

purchaser and collected by the selle r at the rate of ten per

ce ntum (10%) on the price paid or payable in Maltese

cum:ncy for the provision of the scheduled services specified

in section B of h em I of the Schedule to the Act

Provided that for the purpose of mUccting the levy

chargeable under tbis paragraph, Mseller~ sh.all be construed

to mean the persons operating a foreign tJ[change bureau, o r

authorised dealers

Provided further that no monies shall be so

ClIehanged unle$$ the puscribed Exchange Control Forms

bear the stamp and Registration Number of a person
