DEATH AND DONATION D1JTV ACT

BY vinue of the powers vested in him by subsl:ction (2) of section 9

of the Death and Donation Du ty Act. the Minister of Finana: has

orde red that with effCCl from 1st Decembe r. 1989 no d uly. OIhe ...... ·ise

chargeable on any enti tlemen t to a payment ulldc r any C()I1tract of lift

insurance. as specified in sub--paragraph (v) of paragraph (a) of sub·

section (I) of section 60f the said Act. shall be levied

Provided th at this exemption shall opera te on l ~ where the person

from whom the chargeable transmission originateswa~ resident in Malta

and his death has occurred unde r tragic and accidental circumstances -

(a)

in the actual discharge of his duty, and

(b) wi thout hisOWll default. and

duty.
