INCOME TAX ACT

BY virtue of Ihe powers vested in him by subsection (3) o f section

1 J of tile Income Tu Act, Ihe Minister of Fillance has ordered that the

first Lm SO inTcreSt received annually by a person in hislher name in

respect of IlIe Fifth Issue of Lm2,OOO,OOO 7% Local Development

Regis tered Stock 2000/2001 as notified in Government Gu e\le No.

15.479 of 3rd September, 1991 (L.N . 131 of 1991) shall be exempt from

the payment of income lax . In the case of a married rouple . lhis

cKcmption shall be applicable also 10 Stock he ld in the: name of the wife .
