Loans ( Registe red Stock and Securities) Ordinance, Cap. 161, th e

Mini.$ter o f Finance bas authorised that the sum of LmSOO ,OOO 3%

Beare r Debentures 1996 (Fourth Issue) be created and issued as

follows:-

I . The Debentures shall be issued in mult iples of Lm500 at the

5th Augu~ t. 1991 at 9.00a.m. and sh all dose at 12.00noon. Saturday Ihe

17tll August, 1991 or earlier at tile discre tion of th e Accountanl

General.

l. The sum of money to be raised by the Deben tures sllal l be

LmSOO.OOO.

J. Inte rest shall be payable in arrear an nually on the 17th day of

August of every year during the currency of the Deben ture. The fin!

payment of Lm 3.00,O per LmlOO Debenture covering the period from

the 18th August 1991 to Ihe 17th day of August , 1992, sh all be made on

the 171h day of August. 1992.

A half-yearly appropriation of not less Ihan Lm5.000out o f the

gene ral reve nue and assets of the Government of Malta shall be made as

a contribution to the sinking fund established for the purpose of

redeeming the Debentures. The fint contribution shall be made wit hin

three years from th e 18th day of August , 1991 .
