IN exercise of th e powers conferred by section 3 of th e Ouality

Control (Exports, Imports and Local Goods) Act, the Malta Board of

Sta nda rds has made the followi ng o rde r:-

I. This o rder may be cited as the Wearing Apparel Labelling eau.. ,

Order . 1990, and shall be read and construed as one with the Wearing

Apparel Labelling Orde r. 1989 (Order No. M24 o f 1989), hereinafte r :;;~~

referred to as "the principal Orde r".

5. 1.4 The bnmd name o r trade ma rk and country

o f origin ; or the na me and address of the man ufacturer.

1 The: label must be sewn to the wearing apparel.

Where the na ture o f the weari ng apparel precludes such

at tachme nt . the label must be stuck by mea ns of adhesive. as

in Ihe case of socks, incorporated in 3 hanging ticket or

incorporated on Ihe packe t whe re these goods are

conventionally sold in packets.

1 Where goods are manufactu red on a CUI, make and

trim (C. M.T .) basis. the person ordering such goods assumes

responsibili ty for compliance with this order.
