IN exercise o f the powcn confem:d by section 3 of the Quality

Control (Exports, Imports and Local Goods) Act, and in acrordance

with tha t section, the Malt a Board of Standards had made the following

order:-

I . This order may beciledas the Foolwea r (Amendment) Order.

In paragraph 2.1 o f the principal order for Ihe words Has nip

l. For paragraphs 8.1.1, 8. 1.2 and 8.1 .2.1 o f the principal order

there ""all be substituted the foUowing :-

"8. 1.1 The size of the footwear in European , British or

Inte rnational Sizing System.

1.2 The brand name , o r trade mark , and oounuyof origin;

or the name and address of the man ufacturer.

8. 1.2.1 In the ease of locally manufactured footwear with

imported soles o n which the country of o rigi n o f the M>les is

marked, the words "Made in Mal ta shall be marked o n each boll

or packing containing such footwear .

4. Paragraphs 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3 of the principal order shall be

deleted.
