IN el:ercise of the powel$ conferred by 5CC1ion 8 of the Conditions

of Employment ( Regulation) Aet. the Min ister for Social Po licy having

re~ived proposals from th e Texti les and Alli ed Industries Wages

Council con-ceming the conditions of employmenl of the em ployees in

relation 10 whom the said Wages Counci l operates, has made the

fo llowi ng order;-

I. ( I) This order may be cited as the Tu tiles and Allied

InduslTies WagcsCouncil Wage Regulation (Ame ndment) Order. 1990

and shall be read and oonSlrued as onc with the Te xtiles and Alli ed

Industries Wages Cou ncil Wage Regulation Orde r, 1917, hereinafter

re ferred to as "the principal order"_

(2) This o rde r shall oome in to for~ on the 9th April. 1990.

Paragraph 7 of the Schedu le to the principal o rde r shall be

amended as follo w5:-

(a) in sub-paragraph (1)(a) tllereof. for the words "i n e xcess

of 9 hours on any day" there shall be substit uted the words Min

e xccss of 8 hours on any day";

(b) in sub-paragraph ( I)(b) thereof, for the words "in e xcess

of 45 hou rs in any wee k" there shall be subst ituted the words ,n

e xccss of 40 hours in any week"; and

of 4S hours during the week" there shall be substituted tbe words

"in excess of 40 hourn d uri ng the week".
