IN virtue of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Code of

Organizalion and Civil Procedure, the President has made the following

regulalions:-

of Duties) Regulations. 1990.

( I) The President shall ass ign to each of Ihe: Magi st rates Ihc

court in which he is to sit indicating the jurisdiction within which the

cases ooming before such court shall be, and may transfer a Magistrate

from one court 10 anoth er.

(2) Any assignment of duties. transfer and distribution o f

duties in general. in respect o f MagistralC$. shall be deemed \0 have

been properly and sufficie ntly notified for all purposes if notice thereof

is posted in the Regi$uy of the Couns of Magistral e$ be fore o r at th e

beginning of the period duri ng which slIch assignme nt , transfer or

distriblltion is to take effect.

(3) The Regi$trar shall keep a record of all noticcs posted up

in terms of the last preceding paragraph and of the date of such posting.
