IN exercise of the power.; conferred by section' 2 and 3 of the

J udges and Magistrates (Sala~) Act. hereinafter referred to a.~ "the

Act", the Pri me Ministe r ha, made the followingorder: -

I. This order may be cited as the Jud ges and Magislralcs

( Revision of Sala ries) O rder. 1990. and sha ll be deemed to have come

inlO effect on the 1st January. 1990.

"r11crc shall be paid in /Iny ~ear 10 the holders of the offices

specified in the first col umn of the Schedule herelO. instead of the

salaries prescibed in !iCCtions 2 and 3 of the Act. the annual saJarieli

respecti"ely speci fied opposite to each such office in the second column

of th at Sched ule.
