IN exercise orthe powers oonfe rred by Section4( 1)(b)ofthe Local

Loans (Registered Stock and Sel:urities) Ordinance, Cap. 161. the

Mi niste r of Finance has a uthorised that th e sum of Lm 1.200.000 Local

Developmen t Debemure Slock 1995 (Fift h Issue) be created and issued

as follows:-

I. The De be nt ure Stock shall be is~ued at the price of LmlOO per

cent. The Debe ntu re Stock shall be on sale fro m Monday. 19th

November. 1990 at 9.00 a.m. and shall elose at 12.00 noon on th e 1st

December, 1 ~ or ea rlier at the discretio n of the Accountant Gene ral.

The sum of money 10 be raised by the Debenture Stock Shall be

Lm l .200.000.

Interest sha ll be payable in arrea r annually on the 1st day of

Dece mber of every year during the curn:rK:Y of th e stock. The first

payment of Lm3.00.0 per LmlOOstock cove ri ng the period from the 2nd

day of December 1990 to the 1st day of Decembe r. 1991, shall be made

on tbe ist dayof Decembe r, 1991.

A half-yearly appropriation of not less than Lm I2.000 out of

the general reve nu e and assets of the Gove rnment of Malta shall be

made as a contribution to the si nking fund e5labl ished for the purpose of

redeemi ng the stoc k. The fi rst contribution shall be made with in three

years from the 2nd day of D<X:c.mber. 1990.

S. The Stock Shall be redeemed at paron the 1st December, 1995

as determined by th e Acco untant Gene ral and notified in the Gazette.

Stock shall be redeemed only on the surrender of the slock cc nificate

issued.

The Directive by the Mi nister of Financc for the issue of

Lml ,200.000 3% Local Development Registered Stock 1995 published

by L N. No. 186 of 1990 is hereby revoked.
